Directions to cruise port from London Heathrow International Airport:

Either Take the Heathrow Express to London Paddington Station and take a taxi to Waterloo train station.

Or Take the Piccadilly line (blue on maps) from Heathrow Airport to Green Park. At Green Park, take the Jubilee (grey on maps) line to Waterloo station. Other itineraries possible ; e.g. Heathrow Airport to Hammersmith ; Hammersmith to Embankment ; Embankment to Waterloo.

From Waterloo train station, take a train to Southampton train station. Train details can be found at Raileasy (on this website, Waterloo train station is named "London Waterloo"). The train trip to Southampton takes about 1 hour 30 minutes.

You can then take a taxi to the pier.

  • Heathrow Express: 16.50 when bought online
  • Tube 4.50
  • Train to Southampton: 35

Time required:

  • Either Heathrow Express: 25 min.
  • or Tube: 1h30min
  • And train to Southampton: 1h30min.

 

Directions to cruise port from London Gatwick Airport:

It is possible to catch a train directly from Gatwick Airport to Southampton train station: check Southern railway

The train trip to Southampton takes about 2 hour 20 minutes.

You can then take a taxi to the pier.

  • Train to Southampton: 2h20min.

 

Luggage storage in London:

If you wish to stay in London for a few hours and would not have an hotel to store your luggage, you can use the luggage storage service (operated by the Excess Baggage Company) at most London train station for a cost of 8 for the first 24 hours (4 per day thereafter).
